To Michigan Rookie Team and New Perspective Teams:
Team 66 (The Flyers) will be hosting an “All Rookie Competition” as a preseason kickoff event this coming fall.
The event will take place using the 2011 robots and playing field. If you are a new team and/or do not have a working 2011 robot, there will be several veteran robots available for new teams to use in during the competition. The event will be a one day event, October 1, 2011, held at Willow Run High School in Ypsilanti. The cost of the competition will be $100 for 2011 rookies (no cost for new 2012 teams). This event will be a great way to give your 2011 team a chance to play with your robot again for a nominal fee and will help give new recruits to your team (students, teachers and mentors) a chance to see what a FIRST event is like.
If you are interested in entering this event, please send me an email and let me know of your interest. If you would like to register for the event, send a check for $100 payable to Team 66 Robotics, and complete the attached form.
There is a team limit of 24 teams (first 24 teams registered).
